I offer the relevant credentials and expert knowledge to help you get the most out of your High Intensity Training (HIT) sessions! My education includes a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and health as well as another bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition. What’s more, I am certified as an Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine, the gold standard in the field of exercise science. I’m also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

When you utilize High Intensity Strength Training (HIT) you will get the best health and fitness results with its trademark slow movements. How does this happen? It’s simple. By moving slowly and with focused movements, keeping a constant tension to a point of momentary muscle fatigue, you will experience a deep level of work like nothing else you’ve ever experienced. Unlike traditional weight lifting, with our ARX machines you have the benefit of matched resistance so each repetition is slow and focused.
With these slow movements, HIT gives you the advantage of being an extremely therapeutic form of exercise. The speed of movement and range of motion are preprogrammed in the computer controlled ARX machines. This means you can never hurt yourself by moving too quickly.

So here is where my review is based from. I have always been a physical and athletic person. Trained as a paramedic and spent 9 years as a personal trainer specializing in HIT protocols. When I became a trainee in HIT our trainer and facility was leading the way in concept and implication of this protocol. Then my wife and I were invited to be trainers in HIT and the journey began. We have watched the “Evolution” of HIT protocols and enjoyed being a part of that effort. What was missing was tested scientific technology to advance what had been happening in the gym environment. Having left the personal training job four years ago I fell flat on my personal efforts to stay fit. Work was taking all my time but I knew I needed to start again before I totally wasted away. Now the fun part of the story. My wife and I heard a new HIT trainer and business was moving to town, blocks away, with the best technology to date. Of course I was skeptical as I knew we had been using the best equipment possible. I scheduled my introductory session with Nathan not knowing what a computer could do to my body that was any better than I had done before. To my surprise, excitement and joy I learned that the new ARX equipment, under the experience and guidance of my trainer, will surpass my expectations about what HIT can be. A key component to HIT is constant muscle innervation and at no point….rest. We as humans avoid discomfort even if its subconsciously and find a way to rest during a set. This rest doesn’t allow for you to reach the muscular failure we are after to stimulate adaptation. The bottom line is this, ARX had developed a machine that is incredibly safe and the closest thing to perfection I have seen in HIT. Nathan is a wealth of knowledge and experience and after my first session, knew I was hooked once again on HIT training. My evidence, Pleasantly sore ( in my mind) in all the areas I worked in the few minutes under load.
