Meet Nathan Cook

I have been a true believer of the many benefits of strength training since I took a job shortly after college graduation. That job — “15 minutes 2x/week is all you need” convinced me of the merits of strength training, and specifically High Intensity Training (HIT). This experience inspired my career path toward personal training.

I am certified as an Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine, the gold standard in the field of exercise science, and I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I am also pursuing a Master Personal Trainer Certification through HIT University.

While attending the University of Idaho, I earned degrees in Exercise Science and Health and in Food and Nutrition or dietetics.   I also met the woman of my dreams, Alyssa, who would later become my wife.

I am an Idaho native who played sports throughout my childhood with my younger brother. Football and wrestling were our main sports activities. My heavy involvement in sports ignited my passion for strength training and nutrition!

I am completely committed to bringing Evolution Fitness to Bend, and I am even more anchored to this recreation mecca as my wife’s family is from Bend. My ownership in Evolution Fitness, along with my role as a personal trainer, is an ideal fit with my strong commitment to and belief in High Intensity Strength Training!

My personal pursuits include learning, reading, journaling and spending quality time with my wife and family, my dog, and close friends.
